Contract Marriage, Real Love

Two heirs sign a one-year marriage to unlock their grandmothers’ joint inheritance, then discover the contract has a moral clause neither of them wrote – and neither of them can prove.

Qiao Yun, 28, is the only engineer in a family that considers her a placeholder. Yan Zhengting is the cousin they would rather install. Their grandmothers, business partners for forty years, wrote a will that pays out only if the two of them are married for twelve months and living under one roof. Neither wants it. Both need the payout to keep the company’s 400 workers paid.
